WHAT'S "KAIZEN"?

April 22, 2022

What's "Kaizen"? Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) is a strategy that you can implement at your business.

"KAIZEN"

Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) is a strategy where employees at all levels of a company work together proactively to achieve regular, incremental improvements to the manufacturing process. In a sense, it combines the collective talents within a company to create a powerful engine for improvement.

  • As an action plan, Kaizen is about organizing events focused on improving specific areas within the company. These events involve teams of employees at all levels, with an especially strong emphasis on involving employees.

  • As a philosophy, Kaizen is about building a culture where all employees are actively engaged in suggesting and implementing improvements to the company. In truly lean companies, it becomes a natural way of thinking for both managers and employees.

THE PROCESS

  1. Set goals and provide any necessary background.

  2. Review the current state and develop a plan for improvements.

  3. Implement improvements.

  4. Review and fix what doesn’t work.

  5. Report results and determine any follow-up items.

ORGANIZATIONAL EFFICIENCY

The organization's ability to implement smart business goals and plans that use only the resources absolutely necessary for success. The goal is to minimize risk as much as possible. The more easily and cost effectively an organization reaches its goals, the more profitable it will be. Improvement of organizational efficiency will benefit not only your organization, but also good for consumer. It improves consumer satisfaction - as a result of creating higher quality products with fewer faults.

This is my motto - How can I do things better? Kaizen is always in my mind. Less is more. Simple is the best. That's one of the reasons why I'm great at what I do - fixing problems, enhancing operational efficiency and maximizing the profitability.
